Privacy policy

Updated 15 October 2026

This policy describes information used to provide Pawly, its website, payments, and license activation.

Purchases & licenses

Our license service stores payment and order identifiers, purchase amounts and statuses, hashed license keys, activation timestamps, and a hashed device identifier to enforce the one-device limit and prevent misuse.

Razorpay processes payments and may collect contact, billing, and payment information through its checkout. Pawly’s license database does not store your full card number, CVV, banking password, or OTP. Razorpay’s privacy policy applies to its processing.

App preferences

Pet selection, names, care state, and preferences are saved locally by the app. The app contacts the license service for activation, renewal, and device release. It also uses online services for features such as weather and update checks.

Cookies & browser storage

Checkout uses a session cookie and browser storage to associate orders with your browser and recover purchase confirmation. The session cookie has a 30-day maximum lifetime. These are used for checkout functionality.

Service providers & support

We use hosting infrastructure, including Cloudflare and the hosted license service, to operate Pawly. Installers are hosted through GitHub Releases. These providers may process connection information such as IP addresses and request logs. If you email support, we receive the information you include.

Retention & requests

Purchase and activation records are retained as needed to operate licenses, provide support, prevent misuse, and meet applicable record-keeping requirements. Contact pawlyappsupport@gmail.com for questions or requests concerning your information. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, or security reasons.
